After being off a bike for about 5 years (my last bike was a '12 iron 883 i put nearly 20k miles on). I was wondering what everyone paid out the door? My OTD figure was around $18,5k. Also, I don't like the mag wheels they put on the new ones - i much prefer the look of the wire/spokes they had on the '20/'21 model - Does anyone have a recommendation on tubeless wire wheels ? I know the twin cams supposedly had some issues with the timing chain tensioner - any such issues on the M8 ? Did they resolve the machining issues causing some bikes to have a bunch of metal left in the engine? Can I track my order other than calling and asking the dealer ?

 

After doing pricing it looks like HD is charging $1450 for freight and surcharge (whatever that surcharge is) which bumps these bikes up. Still searching for tubeless wire wheels.

 

Chain tensioner issue on TCs was resolved in 2007.

Comparing OTD pricing is meaningless, everyone has different city, state, county tax rates and registration fee's. Better comparison would be price before all the local stuff.

 

I run tubeless 18" and 21' wire spoke rims on my Deluxe. They are not hard to find.
