I hope this isnt blasphemy of some sort, if it is just sing it out. I cosigned for a brand new heritage back in 2018. The person i cosigned for never made a payment and i made them as not to ruin my credit. Long story short, I got the bike back last month and its torn to pieces and looks like a retired basketballs players knee xray. Im starting my hunt to rebuild, but want to make it kinda unique. I prefer the sportier harley, but kinda diggin this classic look. With that said, it looks so similar to other softails, im wodering if i can convert it to look more like a slim or a bob. I would love to hear some thoughts on this. Are the parts pretty interchangeable, as it looks like they would be, to some extent.

Wow... I hate what drugs do to people...!! I've known some otherwise decent people who get into drugs and/or alcohol. They start making very stupid decisions about everything in their lives...

I hope your brother can get his life back together... It's not easy, but possible...

As to the bike;

You can use the online parts finders to see what parts might fit your bike from other years, by matching part numbers..

If you see a part you like, you can go to manufacturer's sites to see fitment information

All else fails, if you think a part my be a match inspite of fitmant charts and part numbers (it happens), you ask about a specific part compatibility on here. There are many people who have mixed/matched parts and are willing to share their experience..

The problem with that bike is it is the first of the M8 "softails" which technically aren't really softails. So I doubt many pre-2018 parts will fit it. But there are plenty of 2018+ parts out there..
