Softail Frames over the Years

Hi, I don’t know if this has already been covered, but I am curious what changes have happened with the Softail frames over the years, and if some years stand out as better than others. I’m kind of warming up to the look of the Softail, particularly with the Springer front end. I am keen on Evo motors, but if there is a good overview of changes done to the frames that would be great to see.

I always like the look of the Softail frame that look like a rigid frame.

An issue with 1988 and earlier Evo Softail frames is that finding shock absorbers is a real problem.
