The #1 mod performed on H-Ds is the exhausts.

I had a set of V&H Longshots installed on my FXDX before it left the dealership. Better sound / rumble without being obnoxious. The pipes were part of the Stage 1 mod.

No I do not find it to quite. I wanted it quiet. Actuly the stock pipes are louder than I expected them to be. In the past I have run straight drag pipes , but would rather keep it quiet the days. Besides, If I want to go down the road and make some noise I just drive my mustang(it aint so quite) . Im happy with my stock Harley pipes, just enuf sound to hear em and I think they look good to. I've got V&H pipes on, and I love them. I did a stage 1, more power, more noise, more attitude without being obnoxious.

I installed vance and hines big radius pipes on my duece and i love the sound. You hear alot of popping when downshifting and sound good with baffles in or out.(mine are out). My brother in law has vance hines big shots installed on his bike and it puts out more of a deeper tone. They actually sound better than mine but i like the looks of mine better. I recomend vance and hines. got to there website and you can see and hear all the pipes on the webpage'
