This is going to be worth your time stopping by today, I have quite the story for you about how a fat boy saved my life.
I picked the 1998 Fat Boy up thanks giving refer to my previous post for more on that... I live in the desert. Don’t t see much rain and wehn we do it tends to flood pretty good wash sand and rock down roads and dang near turn em into rivers. i thaught of kayaking one time.
Rained real good this last 3 days and i needed to ride so when it dried up i rode like the wind. made it a good clip south went thru 3 states doing it bout 50 miles total. heading back home down a long dark road one i knew had some wash out areas one in particular was bad bad i mean 4 or 5 inch high rubbel sand and river rock(all loose!)so i rode right down the middle on my way out but forgot about it on the way back and it got dark with no lights on this road.
All of a sudden his HUGE white truck 4 door diesel with LEDs brighter than the sun (someone should change the law on new LEDs and car lighting) turns down my way right at me as i hit what i forgot was the great wall of death rubble flanked on both sides of the fat boys tires and im right on top of the middle rubble mound feeling the bike start to slip out from under me doing about 38 mph. The truck has no indifference nor even recognises the rubble and brings a huge plume of dust where you couldn’t t see your hand in front of your face i choked that bad. If it wasn’t for having a Fat Boy and perhaps even it being an Evo came into play....
the tires found a path on the river rock sand and kept true and I and more importantly ol blue stayed up.
i couldn’t t believe it was so sturdy going thru the ruff no other model i have rode would have handled this situation the same. Its that fat front tire thank god for it and i did and the almost full moon lit night and the stars that it was that fat!
I would like to start a all Evolution Engine Evo Club whos in? let me know we can start our own discussion.
thanks for reading, ol blue
