I have a 2005 Heritage Classic EFI, just recently installed a Screamin Eagle 95" big bore kit. I took it to 10.5.1 compression, have the Screamin Eagle pro race heads with compression release, Screamin Eagle 50mm throttle body w/ 4.9 injectors, Screamin Eagle adjustable pushrods, Screamin Eagle 251 cams,Fueling short travel lifters, and Daytona Twin Tec tcif with EFI and had to install O2 sensors on my V&H straight shots with lollipops installed, as they recommended, will eventually go with 2-1, but also lastly upgrading to hydraulic cam plate and HP oil pump. With my set up, after our amazing local Dyno tech gets done, I can expect to achieve close to 140HP, according to Daytona Twin Tec. Just wanted to share and get any advice or whatever, also included pics, nvrmnd the paint job as I'm in process of painting right now. Have Harley Davidson custom chrome wheels off of a Deluxe that I'm installing as well, can't run that power thru spoke rims lol
If you check out the dyno charts in the current HD Screamin' Eagle catalog, you will get a much better idea of what actual hp and torque to expect. Note that even the very latest kits from HD, applied to the latest 117 and larger cubic inch engines don't make 140 rwhp. Also, take note of the flatness or peakiness of the torque curve in each dyno chart. You need a continuously high and flat torque curve, not peaky, to pass on the highway wothout downshifting.
I have no idea who told you you could make 140HP with those mods.... I find it doubtful.... A good, experienced tuner is worth their weight in gold, but they are not magicians...
I have a 2003 EFI Heritage, and went with the HD 95" Big bore kit shortly after I bought it new. It has stock heads and SE203 cams (came with the kit). I originally had the HD Stage II download, but eventually got a PowerVision tuner for my bikes and had DynoJet tweak that HD download tune for me. It really woke that bike up...
I don't have any idea what the actual numbers are, but I can say that bike is a blast to ride!
I'm not going to call out any Hyabusa riders.. I wouldn't even want to race my own '16 Bagger with a 124" crate engine @ 135HP & 151TQ... but none of that matters to me.
That '03 Heritage is a street bike. It's capable of getting me way more tickets than I can afford, and did I mention...? It's a blast to ride...!
Get a good tune, numbers be damned, I think you will really enjoy that bike/combo...
It was 110hp with stock Delphi 46mm throttle body but when I run Dyno I'll post specs
110hp from a 95 cu in HD engine?? Sounds like your shop is using an optimistic dyno to say the least. Take it to a properly calibrated dyno. And again, take a look at the dyno charts in the current Screamin' Eagle catalog to see what reality looks like.
On an ACCURATE properly calibrated and maintained Dynojet dyno. (Not all dynos are proeprly calibrated regularly, and some odd brands of dynamometers give calculated numbers that bare no resemblance to reality).
It is also beneficial to go to a dyno shop that is NOT doing the work on your bike, as they have a built-in bias to show you how great their shop is compared to anyone else, and some shops, when they miss the projected target, cheat with the dyno process to make it look more like what they erroneously predicted and maybe promised.
