I bought a pair of hard saddlebags on ebay that did not have keys for the push button locks. They are from a late model (2018+) Heritage. I have another set of hard bags from a 2008 Softail Deluxe so I figured I can just switch them out. The older ones are a smaller diameter and just fall through the holes. Checked Ronnies and HD wants about $50 each so I pulled one off and measured it. It has 1-1/4" diameter threads. Amazon has a bunch of similar locks that claim to be universal replacements but I know they can't be if I have two different sizes. Does anybody know of a place to get these locks cheaper than from HD?

Can you provide a couple pix of the bags? If those are the bags pictured, they look like Boss Bags.

 

The picture is of my 2013 Deluxe and those are Leather Works bags. The saddlebags that I want new locks for are on my 2008 Deluxe. The bags are OEM 2018+ hard, locking, leather, studded, Heritage bags. Just looking for a cheaper source for the push button locks that hold the lids closed.

Look up a posting from truckerdave. He wrote that you can get replacement locks for these bags on eBay for a very reasonable price. His posting was in January 2023.
