OK, just checked the codes and only one came up. P1353 - Front Cylinder No Combustion EFI. I cleared the code to see if it was current (as described above) and it did not show up as current. If the check engine light comes on again, I'll run the codes and see what comes up. Thanks for all the help on this. I knew I would be able to find help here.

Thanks,

Update. Rode the bike to work and back and no check engine light came on. Guess I'll just keep and eye on it and see if it happens again. Thanks again everyone for the help.

I didn't notice any sensors on the stock pipes. I also forgot to mention that I installed a high flow air filter but I put everything back together per the instructions.

Any instructions on how to check the code??
Tattome,
Question regarding "installed a high flow air filter",I installed a K&N filter in the stock air cleaner after installing my V&H slip-ons and Fuelpack, does that constitute a high flow air filter or do I need to change to a high breathe air cleaner as well? I tried to ask V&H tech but they never responded. I programmed my Fuelpack with the "high flow air filter" settings based on changing to the K&N filter in the stock air cleaner.

Not exactly sure on that one. I went ahead and purchased the Scream'n Eagle high flow air filter that came with a new backplate. It only uses the stock cover. I'm not an expert, but I think what you have qualifies as a High Flow air filter. Is your bike running ok?

I have tried this example to check for codes on my bike (02 WG) all of the answers were different.
Is this list for certain years?

I have 2002 Standard Softail and when turn key switch on lights come on like they should and go off but a few seconds later the check engine light comes back on for about 4 or 5 seconds and then goes off but some times it comes back on after have rode for a few miles and stays on but sometimes it doesn't come back on.
Have tried clearing the codes but like Mr. E I get different readings like instead of PSSPT I get what looks like d0 1CLr and if you push the odometer reset it changes to 2CLr and them 3,4 all the way to 10 and after that it reads PPU , after pushing reset again it reads B0046. My Harley service book says have to have another book to check codes.
Is the 2002's different on how to reset codes.

I've been checking around and yes there is a differents in codes and how to clear them for 2000 to 2003 softails.
So does anyone know how to do a 2002 softail so I can get this check engine light to stay off.

Mike,

Took mine to an Indy. Ended up being a loose battery connection. Who would have thought. Light has been out ever since.
Seems the light will flash under certain conditions and not store a code. That is what mine was doing.

I would check those connections.

Hope this helps.
