Yes, the rear wheel from a '02 Deuce will fit without modifications on your '05 Deuce.

Welcome to the forum, from Elk Grove.

Welcome to the HDFORUM.. And yes, I also agree. Shortly after the width of the over all thickness from bearing face to other face got wider.

Use a pull tape thru hub to check. The 41074-00 call out part number is the same however 2002 thru 2005.

Yes, it will fit. Mr. Paper has posted the correct PN. I am curious about the 16" rear. Are you the original owner? Looks like a previous owner wanted a 16" wheel?

Be sure to double check that spacing Randy, if someone went narrow on that dimension, the spacers will be wrong for that correct wheel. It's also possible the belt is incorrect or the rear drive pulley has been shimmed.

To fit that 17x4.5 in there, Harley used a narrow belt.

The original Dunlop tire had a apx 1/4x1/4 bead molded on tire to give it even a more bolder look.

Things were close under there. Even to the caliper..

The Michelin tire in that size is not as bold as the Dunlop. However, it's a smoother, less harsh running tire. The original Dunlop was also a very fast wearing tire and the front and rear were of a different compound.

I couldn't get 10k out of the rear and I never drove aggressively.
