Detent spring help
shift fork for 1st&2nd, as for the detent, I replaced the shift shat lever spring, shift lever centering spring and seal.
after putting all back, oil tank, rear wheel, exhaust, primary inner&outer, adjusting clutch&cable, filling with fluids, etc… I was gonna start it up to test ride. Checked to see if it was in N, but stepped on shifter to 1st, then pulled up to neutral& felt no positive click or spring resistance, shifted to 3rd, 4th 5th, all had no spring resistance nothing pushing back as normal shift should feel, where am I not looking to fix this??? Did I get the detent centering spring in the wrong position on the star wheel on the shift drum?? Did I need to replace the sleeve on the shift pawl lever assembly ? It seem like the centering spring is not staying in place on the lever assembly shaft. And does the screw & washer that the centering spring uses to stop movement have any special adjustment???
I need a zipper on this bike!!!
any opinions & advice are welcome!!
