Over this winter I want to replace my Se2 pipes with a set of Samson Ripsaws, and a Stage1 air filter. I'm looking to buy a Power Commander, but which one do I need? Is going with a PC better then having the dealer do a down load? What is the advantage of buying a PC vs. the dealer download?
For anyone that has installed a Power Commander, does it lower the idle on the motor? The only thing I don't like about the EFI is the faster idle speed. Is it higher then a carb for a good signal/air speed?
jeff go with the power comander easy too set up and you will not need a dealer just down load from there site for applications see http://www.eaglemotorcycle.com/PowerCommander.asp give me a call anytime if i can help with this.

My ride is a 2001 Night Train (EFI) , K&N filter and BUB 2-into-1 pipes, the rest is pretty much stock.
What kind of gains can I expect by going with the power commander? Are we talking something noticeable or ?
A side note ... I've noticed a decent amount of backfiring when slowing down in gear. Not sure if this is an indicator of a problem or just being Harley. It's my first anyways.
