I have an 05 Springer and I put mini-apes on it. They come up to just about shoulder high and I sure like them better than the stock bars that came with the bike. I have only sat on one bike at the dealership and ridden only one bike that had apes on them, so I'm not an expert on which ones would be the best for you, but I will say this, they make my shoulders feel a lot better after a long ride than the stock bars did. Good luck on your choice of apes. I would like to be able to post some pics for you to see, but I not very good with computers. They are about the same as the ones on Unibomber, in fact, his bike is the same as mine, even the same color.

I have a 2002 FXSTB and I put 13.5" apes on my bike several months ago (with one inch risers). I am 6-00 and my hands rest just below shoulder level. It is comfortable for me, but I wish I had gone with the 16" bars. I think the minis (12") or the 13" apes will work fine for you.
