Default Inspection Plates

If you're using one, what are you using? Need some ideas for when I go back to the states.

Thanks,
Tim

Got this off ebay for about $10-$12.00, good chrome finish. The other side has some groves milled into it around the edges for decoration, but I went with the smooth side up.

I got a plate for side also, not on yet. Who you using for inspection to put your sticker there? Dealer won't do it, has to "be visible from behind motorbike" legally in Texas.

I got one like WARG, put it on backwards too.
But put mine under one of the bolts for the forward controls instead of the swing arm.
In NY its really supposed to be on the front fork leg, but I reaaaaaly don't like that idea much.
And the police are not that strict about it.

Different states, different rules. In NY its "supposed" to be visible to a copas he (or she) is approaching you from the other direction. As in putting it on the left front fork tube.

Many HD dealers in Texas use these brackets which fit under license plate and stick out at bottom... sorry I don't have a better pic... my bike is getting a new 6-speed trans today...

I've notice lately at the local HD that they have the sticker for new HD's located on a plate attached to the top of the down tubes (engine guard bracket) in front of the engine...

That's exactly why I was asking. I'm currently stationed in Germany...returning to the states next summer...gonna have to worry about the DoD stickers...we don't have them over here.

Thanks,
T
