Will Heritage Classic bars swap with Fatboy 03 bars? Will they give me a couple inches more pullback? After looking through the catalog and the handlebar comparion chart, and searching threads here. I'm no further ahead, trying to find a bar that will give mea couple inches more pullback on my 03 Fatboy. I read here somewhere that Heritage Classic bars are an option. I don't wish to change cable/wiring lengths. The HD handlebar comparison chart seems to conflict with other sources I have seen as far as measurements. I just want to sit back a little and get the pain out of my back.
I installed these on my 02 Fatty. Like the feel. Only had to straighten out the brake line at the master cylinder on the bars to make it work. Just be careful not to kink it. All the cables fit. No problem.
If you're okay with the factory bars on your Fatboy, other than the amount of reach, you could put on a set of 4.5 inch pullback risers. They made a big difference for me. You don't have to change any cable or wiring.
I have to ask. Those 4.5" pullback risers, are they HD? or something else? I only see a set of "slotted handlebar riser kit"... #56296-05 in the catalog. That's the only set they show for flstf. I'm sure there are other options, any data? Thanks.
For what it's worth, I have an 05 Fatboy and my brother has an 05 Heritage. My bars
are spaced out wider, and pull back maybe 2 inches more than his. When I sit on his
bike, it seems to me that I'm leaning forward ever so slightly, and his bars also feel higher.
I'm very broad sholdered, so his stock bars seem tight to me. On my buddy's 07 fatboy,
his stock bars feel closer like my brothers 05 heritage, so somewhere after the 05 FB, the
bars went thru a design change.
The cheapest thing for you is to change the risers like Legalcarry said.
I wish I could have done that, but the '07s' have 1 1/4" bars and nobody makes risers for that one.
I am putting the 10.5 Street bob mini apes on mine. I really liked them on my fxdbi . Something about my Heritage bars that don't fit me.Makes my wrist turn wrong, and make my throttle arm hurt up towards my shoulder. And like said before, leans me forward slightly.

My risers are made by Kuryakyn. I think I paid around $48.00 for them, plus shipping. I didn't look up the part number you quoted, but I do remember when I was looking for risers, the HD risers were over $100. I just couldn't make myself pay that price when there are so many less expensive options. The chrome on my risers look just as good as any Harley product I've purchased. There's a lot of aftermarket risers out there. If that's the way you decide to go, good luck with your search.
