Default HD Beach Bar Risers

Looking to switch out to the HD Beach Bars. Only problem is that my stealer tells me I have to fork out the same money again for HD risers as the bars are 1.25 inches thick. The risers he has are the Fat Risers which don't really look good to my eye with the bars (too high and too chunky).

Anybody have any suggestions on risers with the 1.25 inch thick bars? I know the Chubby's are reduced to 1 inch at the risers clamp, but I prefer the look of the HD Beaches - I am 5ft10 and feel the Chubby's may be a bit too spread out for my reach. Don't want to feel too stretched out.

Is the pull back on the Chubbys more or less. Comparing the charts does not really seem to answer my question as they seem to be measuring different things (HD says 4.75 inches pull back with the Wild 1 550 beach bars at 15.25 inches - can't believe they are measuring the same thing)

Any suggestions?

Risers for 1-1/4" bars are very few and far between, I found the HD's which are std on the FatBoy and another set but they were $ 325.00

If I was you I would find bars with 1" because your riser selection is huge. Be careful when you look for 1-1/4" risers, some will say they are 1-1/4" for 1" bars (the stem is 1-1/4" but the cup for the bar is 1")

Look on Flanders site, they have factory measurements for all HD bikes/bars, maybe they have a bar for ya, or Carlini.

I'm not sure what you are refering to when you say HD beach bars. I just bought a set of SE Mim Beach bars for 2 bills and the appropriate riser was another bill.

Gramps,

Thanks for your suggestions. I had a look on Calini and they seem to do a Diamond Riser 1 which says it will fit a 1.25 non step bar. Would this fit with the HD Beach Bar?

Marsh,

The HD Beach Bars I am referring to are:

I don't seem to be able to find the SE Mim Beach Bars you refer to on the internet. Do you have a part number.

Cheers

Yogi.

Yes looks like carlini will work but make sure it is for 1-1/4" handlebars. It is only 1-1/4" high though, lower than stock. Also make sure you clarify the height of riser, as in where they measure (to bottom of cup for bars or middle of bar in clamp or top of clamp on riser). When I talked to Wild1 on their straight risers they had a height measurement on straight risers measured to top of clamp except on 1 riser it was to bottom of cup.

Yogi, I'm pretty sure it that same bar. They are not as wide as most beach bars. It you get the risers for mounting the tach then I can see where your extra cost comes in, but just the riser cost me $99.

I didn't see what you're riding. I put Wild1 beach bars on my FLSTS and used stock risers.
