Default Winter Storage Help

Winter is here almost and I was wondering ifI couldget somehelp frommy fellow HD Forum membersto get my bike ready for the winter months. (ex. should I be adding fuel additives, if so, what kind/brand, should I be storing my bike on a stand,etc.). I already have a battery tenderand want to know what else Icould do so when thenext riding season is here, I don't have much to do. Iplan to rideup until they begin to salt and put cinders on the roads. Then I'm done for the riding season. This is my first winter season with my bike so I want to be sure I'm takingproper care of it.Thanks everyone. Suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Wow, great information!!
I was going to give a few of the things I do, but now I think I need to walk back to the garage, and take some more time.

Last thing to do is hope for a very mild winter, so you won't have to put her away!

I just throw some stabilizer in the tank, run it till the stabilized fuel gets through the system, change the oil, air up the tires, throw a trickle charger on, cover it and pray for spring. Worked great on all my bikes no need to go nuts.

FYI. Walmart has nice Blacker and decker2 amp tenders for $19 with auto on/off. The kit includes the pig tail plug for easy plug in for when you when to do a short ride in the cold.
