Texas Fat Boy hooked me up with a clue on a '04 SE Dyna that came with nice pullbacksto fit1.25" bars. I finally found a part number, but haven't ordered anything just yet.

If you change to Apes (which are way-cool) you have to change cables. If you change cables, might as well go braided stainless steel. If you switch bars, might as well change-out stock switches to chrome (or at least chrome switch covers), and you have to do new grips because the stock grips on your old bar will never come off in one piece.

Good luck withyour brain working overtime on this.
Poor Boywasn't that 1 1/4" pull back riser on an '04 Duece, instead of a Dyna?

...and your right about there is no stopping point. Now I'm considering the chrome switch housings. I'm assuming around 600 more buck by the time I'm done. Chit !!!

I have the wild ond chubby 560's just installed them 6 weeks ago but went on a 400 mile day ride the day after they allowed me to sit back more and were more comfortable than the stock bars. the wife thought i was sitting a lot closer to her. I am only 5' 9" so i had the same reach problemwith stock bars.

Just my 2 cents. I have seen your bike pics and it looks great. Drag bars and wild 1's etc. look great too. But I'm all about comfort. I would bolt a chrome turd on my bike if it would keep my back from hurting from reaching too far forward to ride long distance. I need bars a couple inches further back so I can slouch into the backrest. I'm going to get some pullback risers just because it's a quick bolt on. Instead of new bars and the pia installation
Dude, that chrome turd thing made by shoot my drink through my nose! What a frickin' visual!

What is the P/N on the 04 Deuce pullback's for 1-1/4" bars? Oh ya, I forgot, I put the 503's Wild1 Knuckle Bar (2" rise, 36.5 w, 8.5" pullback, 10" center width) w/stock riser on my 07 Fatboy.

My bad. Yup, '04 SE Duece!

Gramps,

I'll get you the p/n tonight when I get home. My indy shop was nice enough to pull out some old catalogs and service manuals to help research the p/n. They are now checking for a source. BTW, this p/n will NOT come up on HD's parts search. It DOES come up on Zanotti's parts search. I'm trying to make sure they will fit. If they get ordered for me, I own them. I think the price was something like $89/each (not pair).

I'm changing out my bars this winter as well...I like the looks of both drags and apes but haven't seen my particular bike with either mounted. Not sure which will look better so I think I'll pick one out of a hat.

o/k all thanks for all the advice, i knew i would get plenty of good info from alll. the drag bars are out, i went by the dealer last night and sit on a hertige, as advised. the bars are closer to what i feel would be comfortable. but a guy showed me a set of risers from kuryakyn that i think i will try, they are only60 bucks. i dont mind spending the money on all the extras but want to know for sure i like it, i would be pissed if i spent 700 or so bucks for all cables chrome and such, just for looks, and didnt like the feel or ride. so for now its the riser way.. thanks for all the input......kerry

CycleDrider, did you have to remove your exahust to remove transmission cover for clutch cable? Just picked up my Magnum Chromite clutch cable and didn;t think about it much. well, until now. Looks like I have to remove top exhaust and the O2 sensor...
The exhaust is in the way. You can loosen it up and just lay it out of the way. Atleast that's with my pipes. The stockers probably the same. The wiring for the 02 sensor is flexible so you don't need to disconnect it.

Here's the part number for the pull-back risers used on 2003 & 2004 FXSTD SE (Deuce) #56506-03 $53.15 each, priced at Zanotti's. I am still trying to confirm that these are for 1.25" diameter bars.

Emailed Zanotti's on the riser..................

"
56506-03 are risers for 1 1/4" handlebars. The problem with those is that the only
clamp is form the SE deuce and that has the tach mount as part of the clamps.
The only other 1 1/4" risers/clamps HD has is 56916-07. They are not as long
as 56506-03. Not sure of the length on them. You can see a picture of them on
page 620 of the 08 HD accessory catalog with handle bars 56832-04 or on HD's
web site with handlebar 56832-04.If you need pullback risers/clamps
you might want to go to Drag Specialties web site and take a look at risers there.
They do list some risers for 1 1/4" handle bars."
