Night train Transmission issues
Anybody out there having issues with Night train tranny issues? I've got an '04 that likes to have the shift linkage stick when the engine heats up (heavy stop/go traffic or when I take a short break after a long ride on a hot day)
I had that happen, and it turned out that the shifter lver was binding inside the pivot bushing. I took it to the dealer and they took it apart, reamed out the bushing a little, lubed it and I was good to go. They told me it happens if you use too mush detergent when cleaning the bike.
Cheers!

I had the same problem on my softail standard.
Disconnect the shifter linkage from the shifter bushing.
Take a piece of emery cloth and run it in and out of the bushing untill the shifter linkage moves
freely. Lube up the linkage, reassemble and ride free. Never had a problem afterwards.
