Where are you located, I assume somewhere in Texas... but can you narrow it down a bit? You might be able to get the bike to a local shop HD or Indy (Independent) and have them do a mechanics check on the bike looking for any issues... but 10K miles on a 2002 sounds very low to me!

Well Howdy Neighbor! I am in Arlington! Just FYI, my dealer of choice is Longhorn HD on I20 and Great Southwest Parkway in Grand Prairie. I have bought accessories at FW HD on the west side with satisfaction. Mid-Cities HD in Bedford I have not really dealt with. Full Boar in Hurst is a nice Indy shop, as is Thunder Road in Burleson.

Lots of good folks around here.... and dont forget about the the Big North Texas Toy Run this Sunday! Even if you dont have your bike by then, come down and browse around....
