1550ccfatboy, you know that the grey color was the first color on a fatboy circa 1990 and the bike to this day is called the grey ghost after the B29 airplane that delivered the abomb over Japan...!!!!! Your aniversary model is done that way to commemorate the first fatboy....great ride, I love mine, .
Here in the mountains of Ga we are waiting for spring, but sneak rides in during decent weather from time to time.
Thanks for the great info! I knew it was the original color but didn't realize they call it the grey ghost. I was originally going to go with the black until I saw the silver painted engine and the silver accents...really adds a nice finish to the bike with the chrome. Which bike do you own?
I am new to the Forum and new to Harley. I came over from the "darkside" last November. I have an 04 Fatboy with the Longshots. The baffles have been removed and it sounds great. The pipes really look great on the bike and as mentioned by others the sound is mainly behind you. This, however, is not so true when sitting in traffic waiting for a light. You get to enjoy plenty of your own sound at those time. Here is a pic while it was still at the dealer. Added a bunch more chrome do-dads since then but it shows the pipes well.
here you go. these are the regular long shots without the cross-over. the sound was pretty good at first...then i bought thunder monster baffles. the thunder monsters are great. deep and loud. the thunder monsters improved the sound at idle, twising the wick and cruising.
