Sucks big time. If you don't have a deposit I'd walk. If you do have a deposit tell them you want it made 100% and ask (sometimes it takes a few times) for add ons for your trouble. Good Luck
I have a scratch on my rear wheel that just gets under my skin every time I see it. I didn't catch it before taking delivery so I am stuck with it.
I am the type of person that once I decide I want something I am very impatient on getting it.
I don't know how you have dealt with it this long, no way I could do it.
If you really want to take delivery of a bike worthy of spending $20,000 walk.
Sounds to me like they aren't going to do much. They probably can't return that swingarm and don't want to eat it.
Another bike may not be what you want exactly but at least if you get something else that is on the floor you can make sure it is right. At a different dealer of course...
Whatever you do/decide you have to live with it, don't do something impulsive like I would that you would regret.
Good luck.!!!
called them back and was told they will have to call HD mon. to see if they will even warranty the new swingarm that was sent. WHAT? SO they have to TRY to warranty a part thats defective that was supposed to be the replacement part for the original warrantied part? WHAT? is this normal HD service? really i like to know, before its to late?

Did they install that swingarm yet? If they did that is probably why they are trying this crap.
My dealer tried the, you have to use Harley oil crap on me, I had to set him straight right there. That dealer has never changed my oil!
I have had dealers of other brands say they were calling the manufacturer that I know never did.
Deposit yet? If not walk fast.
Don't except anything unless it is to your satifaction before you sign the papers PERIOD. Don't let the dealer tell you they will take care of it latter. You see what is hapopening allready. I would want a another bike from the factory. I would not accept repairs to that one.If not WALK.
how bad are the scratches? if they arent to bad you could sand it to bare metal and have it chromed or powdercoated. Same with the none welded one grind it down and have it welded. It's not that big of a deal it might cost you a little extra but it is going to get you on your bike sooner. People are just so dependent on the dealers when you could easily take it into your own hands and fix it.
sanding ?? welding ?? on a brand new 20k bike ?? thats the most retarded thing i've ever heard of.[:'(]
Don't leave until you are satisfied that you are getting your $20K worth......having to fix sh*t on anything brand new is BS.......stick to your guns on this one......being a new model, you'd think they (HD & Dealer) would want to make a good impression........Give'm Hell.........Good Luck
