Default Saddlebag question

I have a set of saddlebags with easy brackets, question is I need to move me turn signals for them to work and don't know if the easy bracket relo kit will work with my tombstone taillight. Anybody with an answer, or solution would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have to move the T/S because the bags are too large or because of the brackets? I have EZ Brackets on my bike with 19x13,7 Osprey Bags on it and did not have to move the T/S, in fact that is one of the big reasons that I went with the EZ Brackets

If it is because of the bracket mounting location, ou may want to check with EZ Brackets , they are very helpful. They make 2 different brackets for softails, one mounts to the front 2 bolts in the strut and the outer to the middle and back bolt in the strut. I have the one that mounts to the front and middle bolt in the fender strut and did not move my T/S to mount the bags.

I have the easy brackets that go on the middle and back bolts, I have already drilled the holes in the bags, and got the brackets on the back. Don't want to change the location of the holes. So I am looking at moving my turn signals unless it is going to be a huge pain.

It would be easier to patch the holes. No big deal - a small piece of leather and some leather or similar glue over each hole. Do it outside & inside. Won't be visible when the bags are mounted. Lots cheaper, too.

Not that much of a pain to move them if you have the right tools or are willing to cut and splice the wiring. The plugs on the end of the signal wires won't fit through the holes to pull them off the bike then put them back on in the new location. You'll need a special tool to remove the pins from the Deutsch connectors to do it properly. The tool allows you to pull the wires out of the plug then they just push back in and lock in place. With out the tool ( that I didn't have either ) your only option is to cut the wires and splice them back together after you move the signals.

Good luck.
