Default Fork Covers

Anyone have these or heard of someone with these? Might be a nice alternative to $400+ plus installation.

Those things are cheesy.

It doesn't take 400 bucks worth of parts to chrome a front end if you do it right. You can get a set of take off legs chromed for about 150 bucks. A couple of seals and some fork oil will likely set you back 20 more bucks. As far as the labor goes, it is an easy job than you can do at home. If the job is too much for you too handle, you should be able to find an indy shop to do it for about 2 hours labor.

I just did a Chrome Fork install on my bike. My first time ever taking apart a front end. It's worth the effort. I took a look at those covers but never really considered them.

(I haven't updated my picture yet), in the middle of an APE installation too.

I agree, those covers are cheesy and overpriced. Nothing like paying a bunch for something that every thinks is goofy, sorta like a fringed jacket. [sm=laughat.gif]

my buddy put them on his bike and you can definatly tell that they are covers. i've been looking into changing my forks as well and i think it would be worth it to shell out a couple extra clams and do the labor yourself.

Chrome or powdercoat your own...you'll be happier in the long run.
