Greetings Lads,
I'm from a land far far away, and am after any advice in easing lower back pain.
Riding an FXST08 with 18" apes and forward control extensions, am 6'2" and its taking a big toll on me with long rides.
Looking for a sissy bar that you can remove quick and not look ugly.
Have a custom 2up seat and would like to keep the bars.
Any help and my Daughters are your's.
Ha Ha.......Joking!!.......HELP!!!
Ditto on the rider's backrest. I used to get some lower back pain till I got the Mustang (see pic below) with rider's backrest. It may not look cool with your bike but you can always pull the backrest off for bar hopping.
Agree as well on the riders backrest...have a buddy who got one and swears by it.
I'm 6'5" and ride 20" apes on a 4" riser...have to say that my lower back discomfort disapeared when I went with the taller apes. Much more comfortable for me. Glad to hear you're gonna keep 'em!
Cheers for the PM pics Slipstrm, looks good, I think it would look pretty ugly on a 2up seat without a sissy bar on the back, though if it safes my back i dont care.
Looks like its less than a one minute job taking it off. Actually looks quite easy to knock one up and just buy the mounts.
Can you pivot the bar before you tighten it up, to get your desired angle?
Big Mike, love my apes mate, would not change 'em for the world.
If anyone else knows of any other ideas or brands...feel free...
Regards
