Default Engine Guard

I have been thinking about putting an engine guard and cruise pegs on my Heritage Classic. What I was wondering is if anyone has ever scrapped there guard in a tight turn? I have hit my floor boards several times but they move. Just looking at a bike with engine guards I can't tell what will hit first.

Floorboards will still hit first. My belief is that you aren't going to ever scrape your engine guard and be able to keep going.

When my floorboards scrape, I am a long way away from scraping my exterior pegs mounted to the guard. If my guard ever starts scraping, if I notice, means I'm on my way to a bad day.

I added the guards to my Heritage. I think they're called acorn shape guards. The have built in places to put your feet for cruising and I think the only way you can scrape them is by falling.
