My FB came with a HD king shield on it. I'm looking at cutting it down. I'm 6' even, and find I spend a lot of time looking at it, instead of over it, or through it. Right in my eye line. If I'd have bought it myself, I'd have gone for a lower cut. However I like the look of it, and it fits on the bike snugly, and comes off in a minute.

I agree with Kato I'm 6 foot and the standard 20 1/2" HD windshield had me exactly eye level with the top of the windshield.
So I sold it and went with the 17 1/2" low profile Nostalgic because I liked the looks of the trim better.

Either way if you are going ona trip you also might want to add the chrome lowers too.
They stop all the head buffering that all the windshields do.

Here's the Nostalgic 17 1/2":

Here's the 20 1/2" with the chrome lowers:

Here's a Memphis Shades 19" El Paso that worked pretty well and looked really HOT.
No head buffering, but it made the wind go right past your ears.
A little to nosiy for me.

Becasue of the angle of the shield, it is about the same height as the 17 1/2" HD one.
(I was able to look about 3" over the top)

Texas Fat Boy- Good looking ride! Do the lowers help a lot? I've never had much of a problem without them but anything to be more comfortable on those cool nights. Eagle- you won't regret a windshield. We all go thru it but once you have it I promise it will be on a lot more than it'll be off. Important part is to have it cut for you. Looking thru them wrong is uncomfortable but don't go too short as they can be great to tuck behind sometimes.
