I had 12s on my Dyna with 4 inch risers. They were about right. You also have to check how wide you want them. If they are wide, 18s may be too much. Fat bars are no0rmally wider than inchers.

Thanks to all for the info. These bars are 41" wide on the top, what do you think?

that is really wide. I think ,y wild1's are 36" wide. I say 16's as another friend whso was 6'3" had 18's and changed back to 16's. Find a couple of bikes with apes and sit on em. Either way, good choice.

I'm 6' and I have 16's on my bike. Depending how I am sitting, they usually come about shoulder high. After I went to the apes, my shoulders felt better and it was more comfortable sitting up than leaning slightly forward. On long trips they don't bother me at all. Good luck

It could be al dependent of where you rotate the bar to. If you lay them the same angle as the forks, it will be low for a 16". But if you rotate them forward a good six inches, it will come up quick.

I would have stayed 16" but the gimp hangers bend down where your hands go. But 16, rotated forward are tall!

Tnx, I follow... I will have to find the best angle so I don't have to lean forward to grip the bars. I want to find a neutral riding posture, straight on the back and relaxed on the arms (damn! sounds more like a tailored suit than a handlebar! )...

MSF advises against bars higher than your arms parallel to the ground.
