I am looking at buying a set of the Wild1 Chubby's today. I have heard nothing but good about them. Does anyone know where you can get them for less $$$?
Glad to be reading this post. I've been looking at a set of apes from HCC for my '05 Springer Classic and hoping to hear more from folks who have bought thier bars from them. I've had trouble getting through to them on the phone to ask all the questions I have. My decision is down to what size to get 13" or 16"?? I prefer not to have to buy new risers, but my stock risers are 3" so I'm concerned about going with the 16" bars as that may really have me reaching. What about pull back? The HCC bars (no brand) have 8.5" pull back whereas most other apes like Wild 1'sseem to have much more - like 11". My mechanic says the 8.5" pull back should be better, or at least more comfortable.
Bensonjv - is your Springer a standard or Classic? Are you able to post a pic? I have not seen a lot of photos of springers, especially classic's, with apes.
