I would suggest you go to your local "bike night" or whatever a gathering is called in your area and talk to different riders about their pipes, ask to hear them. Most will be glad to fire up their ride and blip the throttle for you. Then you can make a choice....

I have V&H Bigradius 2-into-1. I wanted something with a deeper note.
The bike is not as loud unless U like opening the taps all the time.
Best thing is 2 listen 2 different pipesas Soft06 said.
U got decide on looks and sound levels to be happy.

Good luck.

Best pipe, best sound is very subjective. Different size motors, different riding styles all make a difference. As suggested above cruise nights is a great place for sound shopping.

A 2 into 1 tends to build more power and has its own distinct sound. True duals give a classic HD sound. Diameter plays a part in the sound also. Stock motors with big inch pipes make noise but loose back pressure and low end. To small of a diameter pipes hurts the breathing on the top end of the motor.

I like a pipe slightly over sized for the motor. This allows some room to grow power wise. I like a tunable pipe, not necessarily like the Supertraps and the disc's but rather a pipe that is available with different size baffles.

Consider the riding you will be doing. Do you want short shots right alongside of your legsbarking for 8-10 hours while your heading across country. Or is this an around town bike. Do you have to fire this thing up at 4:30 in the morning to get out of your community with a 2 into 1 howling as you try to idle past the neighbors. Are you a guy who drags everything on the bike while running through the twisties. Than a higher mounted exhaust may be better.

I love the duels.

You can hear my pipes in this video. They have the baffles in them.
