Default Heritage Saddle Bags

Has anyone tried painting the studs on the Heritage saddle bags? Considering painting mine black. Any thoughts?

Pave,

It must be a long winter where you are!

I think it would be a PITA to make sure you scuff every stud so the paint will stick without scuffing your leather. I guess you could remove them, scuff, paint, reinstall, but it would be a ton of work for little return IMHO.

Let us know how it turns out if you do it and post pics!!

Why don't you just buy the black and chrome ones that go on the Road King seat from the HD dealer. I think that would be easier than trying to paint them. I think they cost about 25 cents each. I bought some chrome ones from them to add to my Heritage passenger seat. Or check out this site, you might see something you like. http://www.studsandspikes.com/
