Thought I would post my experience and opinion for the sole purpose of wasting time. Just joking. But maybe this will help someone. Took the bike out for a long ride on Saturday and I was very surprised at the BIG difference in performance. It seemed that as I shifted and hit the gas she just kept climbing and was a pleasant surprise.
My opinion inthe diffence is the Vance and Hines staggered shorts in combo with the Dobeck fuel module. Secondly, I believe between the removal of theold exhaust and the stock controls and brackets I'm about 75lbs lighter. The forward controls are aluminum and weighed much less.I didn't confirm weight but I'll tell you what the box of stock stuff weighs compared to the new parts is quite a bit.
I didn't even do the air cleaner yet and not sure if I will. At least til wifey give me my card back
I had this up after I finished the bike a couple weeks ago. finally had a day that I wwas home and got to take her for a cruise. I'm surprised what the old stuff weighed!
Sweet lookin' ride...those are some radical apes you got on that scoot...gotta lose the front reflectors though, I took mine off yesterday and it makes the front end look longer....I will be putting some reflective skull helmet stickerson the lower legs once I get them in the mail 'cause I want the ******** on the roadways to see me at night....
