Default VH Big Radius question...

For anyone who has or had installed VH Big Radius on their 96" Softy without modding the AC or the EFI mapping... How did it ride? I know you can get away without mapping but usually you end up with some decel popping or other mild side-effects. Curious from the peanut gallery what kind of side effects surfaced and how "mild" they really were.

The plan is to do the AC and mapping but the exhaust will arrive about a week before the other stuff will and rides are planned. Curious what to expect.

Thanks.

I did and had zero problems. Put about 1000 miles on with the stock AC and no map of any kind. Ran great and they were one of the better sounding baffled pipes I've heard IMO. Since then I've had a PCIII, SE AC (now the RSD), dyno tune and no baffles. Still runs great and sounds even better.

I ended up installing the BR about 2 weeks before getting anything else and it ran just fine, i didnt feel too much of a performance gain untill i remaped and added the AC though.

My friend has the big radius pipes andhi flow airfilteron his 06 softail standard with no downloads or EFI controller. Its seems to run good and sounds good but i keep telling him it has to be running lean and he can blow up his motor. Also the engine light comes on when he jumps on it hard, not a good sign but its been like this for 10,000 miles so he`s not worried about it.

Great pipes....best looking in my opinion. They were on my bike when I bought it. Mine have the baffles installed. Also came with PCIII, and high flow AC.
Just had it dyno'd and man, it runs sweet. Stock horse power/torque is about 59/74. As you can see from my numbers posted below, this combo dyno'd
offers signifinant performance improvements. Also, you can see the air/fuel mix wide open is 13.3, perfect from what I have read.
Anyone with this setup is welcome to my custom map. Cost me some $$$ but don't mind sharing.
