Default 88? 80?

I just bought a 2002 Fatboy my 2nd bike. First one was 6 months ago so I am real new to this. This '02 has an round aircleaner cover that says 80 cubic inch fatboy? I posted last night in the new member area asking if they made the 2002 with the 80 and everyone says it should be an 88 Is there an easy way to tell if it is an 88 like it should be? Thanks, Greg

It could be an aircleaner cover off of an older model. I have a 2002 fatboy that is definetely and 88.

Thanks xxxflhrci!A picture is worth a thousand words, and 131 cc's. It is an 88. I guess the last owner changed the air cleaner cover for whatever reason.

You can use a heat gun to remove that 80 inch insert and have a nice looking plain round air cleaner cover.
