The original Nostalgia was the FLSTN. It was produced back in the early and mid 90's. I believe the last year for that bike was 1996. The new Deluxe models are very similar to the Nostalgia.
FLSTN was the original designation for the Nostalgia. It came out in 1994 and had a seat that was made from a Jersey cow hide(Brown and White spots) with the hair still on it. It was affectionally called the Moo Glide. The saddle bags had some of that same hide on them.
The Deluxe is basically the same bike with the same FLSTN designation. If it says 2005 FLSTN Nostalgia Deluxe, it is definately a current model, and in my opinion, one of the sharpest bikes in the HD lineup. It is very similar in size, handling, ride, feel, etc, as the FatBoy and Heritage, as they all share the same frame, engine, tires, etc.
I have a 96 Nostalgia, that was the last year they were made. each year they had a diferent paint scheme and a few other items seat, bags, ect. example the cow hide theme was only available in 94. My 96 has a two tone paint silver and green. they were a "special edition" model. If they are offering a "new" nostalgia it may very well end up as a limited additon as well. because of that they are less of them and seem to hold slightly more value because of it.
