I'm a new member waiting on my Black Rocker C to come in next week!!! 10 more days and counting!! I will put pictures up after I doa few things to it. Just wondering though...Is it possible to change to backlight on the guage to blue LED's? I've never seen one lit up at night, but I'm assuming it doesn't light up blue...
Hello Scotty, what took ya so long? Welcome to the forum. No unfortunatly they dont light up blue. Thats a good question about the blue leds. I wish I had the answer for ya
If you can find blue 12V LED's no problem, but it might be easier to just get blue bulbs casue then its just a plug and play thing. With LED's you have to look around for one for the right voltage and socket base on it or if you can'tyou would have to make sure to get one with the right voltage and get thepolarity rightso you canhard wire it into the light circuit. If you put them in backwards they will not light.

It isnt necessary to get an led that runs exactally at 12 volts, most Blue LED's run at about 3.3 to as high as 4.2 volts. You have a few choics, you can use a few of them in SERIES, say three of them which will take on average 10.5 volts and then use a resistor to take up the remaining 1.5 volts. You will need to use a resistor no matter how many LEDS you cram in there, this is to limit the amount of current the LED will draw. This is also how you can control the brightness.
I work for a company that makes LEDs and they are very simple to use. So if anyone is really interested I can explaine in better detail how to get it all to work.
Just took a close look at my console and while I can change any of the other indicator LED's, the Spedo is a sealed unit and other than cutting all the plastic around the mounting tabs to find where the indicator light is there doesnt appear to be a way to change it.
I did find a way to dim down the high beam light though...man is that thing bright.
