Default Jack Rabbit

Had an encounter with a Jack Rabbit yesterday.. Hit him cruising about 60-65 mph. Dented the front fender skirt slightly and damaged my nerves a bit! Luckily I didn't go down.. Has anyone seen a Jack Rabbit from S.E. Arizona? Im new here but holy crap these buggers are big.. Not your typical bunny rabbits for sure!

No Jack Rabbits around here, just good old Buggs Bunny's, but there do seem to be a lot of them around this year.
Almost let my two pups out in the yard this evening until I noticed there was a VERY bushy tailed cat with a white racing stripe about 6 feet from the door. Glad I saw it before I let them out or they, being pups, would have not have known any better and found out the hard way what happens when you scare a skunk.

YEAH! I live just west of Phoenix and my cat brought one in the house. I guess he used the Vulcan neck pinch on him, because when I tried to get it to let it go, it scratched the crap out of me and was definitely impossible to handle.

Those suckers are big! I've been here for less than two years and I hail from Pennsylvania originally.

I'm very surprised to hear you only got a small dent. Hitting one of those rabbits is very much like hitting a smaller dog IMO

I grew up in Cochise County. They are big and numerous.

Funny story (now...it was scary as hell when it happened)...friend of mine was doing "a little over the speed limit" (over 70) on his Sporty when a deer ran in front of him. He went THROUGH the deer and laid the bike down, knocking him goofy for a minute (and giving him a nice compound fracture in his leg). When he came to, he saw intestine on his shirt, and thought they were his own...said that was the most scared he remembers ever being. Bastard is lucky he's alive.

My father in law ran over a snapping turtle, with my MIL riding p-pad, there was oncoming traffic, and another bike kinda close, so he couldn't swerve, so he went dead center over it. I swear my MIL bounce a good 3 feet in the air.

My best is hitting a goose, and having it get all twisted up in my front spokes of my old Sporty. Didn't lock the wheel up, but feathers and bird innards were flying everywhere till I got it stopped. Worst part was I had to keep going with bird scraps in the wheel till I could find a hose[sm=smiley11.gif]
