Default Rocker Windshield

Has anyone tried to install a Dyna windshield on a Rocker? The forks looks the same and the Dyna has more windshield sizes available than the Rocker. My wife has the Harley accessory windshielddesignated for the Rocker on herRocker and it does a real poor job of wind protection.

Kickstand,

While I agree that the Rocker windshield does a crappy job (at least the super sport one I have does), I don't think you're going to find another option. The "narrow-glide" forks on the Rocker are 49mm in diameter, and all of the wide-glide forks I've seen on Dynas and Softails are 39mm in diameter. The only option I see is to buy a replacement sheild (Just the Lexan part) for a Softail and bolt it to the mounts for the Rocker. The best option would be to find a sheild that is not pre-drilled. I'm looking into this option myself, and as soon as I find something, I'll post up the info.

Ditto on the windshield not working. I had the taller of the two available and all it did was compress the wind and push it all straight at my face. I didn't like it at all and I promptly returned it. Iwould like to have something I can throwon if I'm going to do a long haul and then take off again once I'mhome.Hopefully someone willcome up with something.

i don't know anything about the rocker, but softail front ends have been 41mm for as long as i can remember. the dynas used to have 39mm front ends, but have all moved to 43mm.

Anyone have anymore options/info on a better, more useful shield on a Rocker? My father has the taller HD shield, which just pushes everything into your face rather than your chest, and I'm sure he'd like a better option given the chance...

the rocker has 49mm forks. so do the v-rods. some of the late model dynas have 49mm forks as well (fatbob, etc...)

you are probably just going to have to try some things out. you will probably get the standard response from the parts guy, "it won't work" but how many times have we seen when something says it won't work, but actually does?

I had an "08 Dyna Street Bob and now have a Rocker-C and the same quick mount HD windshield worked fine on both. I have since sold it due to not liking the look on the Rocker, but it's works perfect on the spacing of the forks and diameter.

I also just ended up trying my Sport Compact detachable on my father's Rocker and it fit perfectly. Obviously it's not as narrow as the one designed for the Rocker, but it does come up a bit higher being that the Rocker shield has much more of the curve to it than the standard windshield.

So anything that fits the Dyna seems to fit the Rocker.
