I did a search on this but could not find the info I was looking for. I have a Crossbones, I recently got the baffles removed to get some more power and sound. I will get exhaust later, money is tight and this is fine for now. I removed the heat shields and put some black heat wrap on them. It looks great, I will post pics. My question is: I am going to get a PCIII after I put the K&N on, where is a good place to get the downloads? Any tips or tricks would be great also. Thanks guys
i would like to see a pic of that wrapped exhaust i am probably wrapping my Rocker here in a week or two depending on when parts come in. any tricks on the wrapping job that i should know before i jump in head first.
You can download a map right from power commander. Depending on where you get it from though the seller may preload it for you. You will know they are going to do that if they ask you the pertinent questions of your configuration. ie... stage 1, pipes, engine mods, ect.<\\;br>\\;<\\;br>\\;Now Power Commander is probably not going to have a map exact to your setup. Which means you will have to pick the closest one they have and probably fine tune it a bit. If you do a search on here there are a couple of threads on how to eliminate the deceleration pop you might get. I remember a really good one on here that a guy did. I used it myself on a friends bike.<\\;br>\\;<\\;br>\\;
I heard nothing but praise about Jamie at fuelmoto so thats where I bought mine from and it was about 100.00 less than any where else. www.fuelmotousa.com
I will get some pics up this evening. I wrapped my pipes with the pipes on the bike, a little more time consuming. I used the pipe clamps off of my heat shields instead of the crap ties that come with the kit. I like the look and it was easier to get them tight. When you cut the material fold it over to hide the frays. I didnt do this but I will probably go back and do it to clean up the look a bit.
Ok so I tried to resize the photo to the forum limits and couldnt get it any smaller, so I couldnt upload the photo. I was getting pissed as said F*** it. I will try again later.
