Default Maybe a stupid question,,, on V&H Long shots

I have them on my FXSTS, and LOVE the sound. However, do they drag easily on Right hand cornering! WOW, I have the bottom edge about ground through at the end.

MY question is, has anyone ever cut about 6" off? (I glanced inside, and not sure how far) but what if you cut back to the baffle. Would that help much? (Also if it is possible/logical to do this, what tricks to stop chrome from peeling at the ends then?)

I have Longshots on my Springer and never have had a problem with them dragging. I have mine lowered and the shocks are cranked all of the way down.

Mine drag a good bit also. Especially since I lowered it. A friend of mine angle cut his longshots off about 6 inches back. It looks pretty good actually. He does get some crackling on decel though. It sounds pretty good to me though. We used a horizontal band saw in the machine shop at work. We taped the area to be cut &amp\\; wrapped the pipes well to prevent damage.

same problem here. i cut off about 10 inches, now the pipes are the equal length and no dragging.
