Get the detachable windshield with detachable sissy bar, back rest and luggage rack, and the detatchable saddle bags or throw over bags. This is so you can remove it quickly for the clean look and use it for passengers and trips. I have the Vance and Hines Big Radius on mine for exaust and love em. There are many options. Keep looking. J and P Cycles is where I shop. Also check E-Bay. Just read the reviews about the seller before you buy.
07 Fatty here and welcome! As far as the hissing noise, it might be a breather on top of the trans case that aint breathing right. then again it may be something else. If you plan on letting the dealer do the first service, bring it up with them. the 6-speed cruise drive trans is a bit noisier than the older 5 speed. a bit more break in and a switch to Mobil 1 gear oil should do the trick to quiet it down better for the long run. For pipes? I gotta rep Vance &\\; Hines. Quality product and DAMN do they sound bad ***. I have a set of Big Shot Staggards on mine.Was getting my rear tire changed at the dealer yesterdayand heard a tech fire a bike up. lol I thought "thats a wicked sounding bike". turns out its was my ride and the tech was taking it for a test ride. Really made me proud of my baby!
Hey RIDEFREE, can you post a pic of what those detachable \\;\\\\\\;bags look like, i pick up my 08 in three weeks and definately want saddle bags, but im like you i like the plain look but want the bags for long rides down to VA from NY, so if u can be so kind and \\;\\\\\\;post some pics, or link me to your pics, congrats on a great choice, by the way this will be my first HARLEY as well after \\;\\\\\\;leaving the Metric world of a \\;\\\\\\;Suzuki GSXR! \\;\\\\\\;
Here's my set up...the HD detachable windshield and sissy bar, \\;detachable Boss Bags, and even the HD version of T Bags for long trips. That's what is great about the Fatty, you can go from stripped down bar hopper to full touring mode in less than 5 minutes!
 \\;
(Probably have to click on the X's since the forum is still having problems)
Congrats on the Fatboy. \\; You will love it! \\; First things first: \\; Get that bike modified to Stage 1. \\; Do a forum search to understand what's involved. \\; Your bike will run cooler and better. \\; Change all the fluids to synthetics\\; again, do a forum search.
 \\;
Then you will run out of money before you run out of things to do to your ride.
 \\;
Most of all, get out there and RIDE!

Will do, hopefully by tonight.
 \\;
Here are pics (never done before, hopefully I will succeed)detachable HD Fat Boy model \\;saddlebags with matching HD wide Fat Boy touring pad on detachable sissy bar &\\; \\;HD luggage rack that detaches with the sissy bar/touring pad as a single unit. All on &\\; off in literally a minute so can go full stripped or combination of the add-ons. \\; 2 upper mounting pegs each side are chrome and stay on bike beneath side of seat and are shown in couple pics. \\; 1 \\; lower mounting peg each side is not easily seen, and left is shown with foot peg in 1 pic. \\; I also use leather \\;HD handlebar bag when sissy bar on for glasses etchas accents that match Fattie seat &\\; bag cues. It was pricey but is so convenient I would do it again. Doing Stage 1 on Monday, including V&\\;H Big Shot Staggered, \\;SERT, etc. \\; Enjoy your Fattie, I am loving mine!
