My NT has a Badlander, but since I bought it with the seat installed, I can't compare heights. The Badlander IS pretty hard, though. I'm going to give it some miles to see if I can get used to it. If not, I'll be in the market for a more comfortable seat. It does look great though!
About 2 inches on my Softy, and as the others have said, the Badlander doesn't compress much, it's like sitting on a rock! But, and it's a big but, I dig the look, (and I think high-heels look painful, especially on a dude, but in a swim-suit context, wow![sm=offtopic.gif], sorry) Try one out if you can, remember even wooden chairs can be comfy![sm=signs003.gif]
I tried the badlander and the diamond back solo yesterday. I like the look of the badlander but it is way too hard. I orderd the diamond back solo with the fender bib instead. I guess there is a reason the badlander is priced so much less than the other 2 up seats.
Have a Badlander now. It is hard; but I'm OK with it. Its the passanger that really suffers. Went to a Sundowner and nearly hurled when I seen it on my bike/ Looked way too big and bulky, I took it right back to the shop after 10 minutes. Just ordered a Ralleyrunner. Seems like it will provide about the same driver fit and more comfort in the back. Just costs alot.
thanks for the info, i picked up the seat tonight. had to buy the mounting bracket for it though[&:]
I did get 10% off because the box it was in was trashed. also the bolts for the mounting bracket need to be cut as they feel like they are about to come through the seat. do you think the wive would mind[sm=yikesomg.gif] it does look good on the bike .
