I installed my Vance and Hines Short Shots and Screaming Eagle intake on my 08 Night Train, then ordered the XIED's and WOW!!! what difference the XIED's make!!&nbsp\\; Alot crisper throttle responce and the heat problem I had&nbsp\\;in traffic is gone.&nbsp\\; Cannot say enough good things about the XIED's.&nbsp\\;Everybody have a great 4th.

How do you like the short shots? I do like the look of them. XIEDS are the best, love mine made a big change in the heat factor

 

I really like the Short Shots, at first I had some popping on decel but now with the XIED's it is all gone and my low end torque is back to at least where it was. Also, it seems to not take as much throttle as before.&nbsp\\; Much cooler and deeper exhaust tone!!

 

was the install easy? I have v&amp\\;h softtail duals k&amp\\;n 3909 ac and sert. will they help cool my fatty? living in central Fla. this topic has got my intrest. last summer my oil temp was up to 270 and the left pipe was burnin the ***** out of my thigh.

 

also Dbleagle i love youre forks on that sporty would like to do that to the wifes 1200c where did you get it? very nice thats how a sporty should look

 

I have a Standard that is stock except for V&amp\\;H Big Radius pipes. I have a SE Stage 1 air cleaner but haven't installed it yet because I haven't had time to take it in for a re-map.

If I install the XIED will I still need a re-map for the stage 1 and pipes?

Also, the nightrider website seems to be down. Are they still in business or is the site just down?

 

Install will take about 5 to 15 minutes depending on how fast you find the two connectors. You will be amazed at how much cooler the bike will run. Best $104 spent on the bike so far. The nightrider.com site seems to be unavailable at this time but if you go to the tuner section of this forum you will find about a 45 page discussion of the IEDs and XiEDs. Somewhere in that discussion is a phone number for Steve at nightrider. He likes to talk about what you need for your ride and does not mind customers calling. He is in Florida somewhere.

The harley download is a RIPOFF!!&nbsp\\; All it does is change timing and raise rpm limit. Harley cannot change A/F ratio becaues EPA mandates.&nbsp\\; Very simple install on the XIED's, and very good results.&nbsp\\; The Nightrider site has been working for me today, placed order for my buds softail this morn.&nbsp\\; Steve is super nice guy, will talk as long as you have questions,&nbsp\\;call him and you will see for yourself.&nbsp\\; Makes Harley dealer look like Azzholes.&nbsp\\; I too live in Florida, it has been mid 90's here for weeks now and the heat difference on bike is amazing!!
