Default lowering softail standard

i noticed alot of you guys have your bikes lowered, alot lower than mine! my question is did or do any of you guys have a problem with your rear drive belt rubbing the piece of the inner primary that extends across the top of the belt! i think it extends to the transmission!!

I am thinking of lowering my Train, but I ride two up most of the time....So, that being said, is it a wise idea to lower it? How will it affect the ride? SaintslaxII....How does yours ride?

Yes if you go to low you can rub the top of the belt... I had to come up a 1/4 inch this is how it
sits now... 4 inches down. Looks or comfort? Looks for me!

srm148 the ride for me is fine. I agree with story about looks over ride. She doesn't mind it at all. For me I can feel the bumps in the road but it doesnt hurt. I am 26 and don't mind. I also have mine on the stiffest setting on the preload. I am riding to FL the end of this month so when I get back I will let you know how I feel. If you want a little more comfort do progressive shocks. Eventually it is air ride for me.
