Vistacruise is a lot easier and safer to use then the thumb screw. I installed one on my bike

does the throttlelock or vistacruise disengage with the brake lever (for quick reaction), or only with the cruise thumb lever?

My Throttle Locker is polished stainless and you have to manually disengage it. But its very easy to overide either up or down.

I replaced the thumb screw with a Throttle Locker.
Very simple to lock and easy to unlock, even with gloves on.
