Default progressive 422

&nbsp\\;really want to lower my ride....what do you consider the best shock for the money (422)? I'm not a light guy so i am a little apprehensive to lower it without new shocks.

I ride 2up with my 422s -2" combined weight about 260lbs\\; a little stiff when we hit the potholes here in the Northeast though.

At stock ride height they are a huge improvement over stock shocks. that being said, when lowered 2" and preload adjusted accordingly, they do tend to jar the rider over sharp edged bumps, heavy dips etc. Still the best adjustable (non pneumatic) shock available though.
