I am new to the forum, and new to HD. \\; I am looking at buying my first HD but on \\; a budget. \\; I have looked at several, but I love the look of the Softail standard.
I found a 2003 FXST that fits my budget and looks awesome. \\; But it has 67000 miles on it. \\; Should this be a red flag? \\; I know HD makes a great bike but, I am afraid of the miles.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
you can always keep looking, but for a 2003 id say some where around $10,000.00 seems fair. i had to travel 100 miles and found a 1990 for $8500.00. thats a pretty good deal where i live. when you start getting down under $9,000.00 your not getting much of a bike. you, more than not, end up with something that you might have to dump a ton of money into, not always because theres always a deal out there. ive seen some of those $7,000.00 and $6,000.00 bikes and they look like it. no matter what a 2003 cant be in that bad of shape, hell its only 5 years old.
