Thanks guys. I am going to change her mirrors today to at least get rid of any reminder of the incident. She really hasn't mentioned much except for saying to me "look at what you did to my frigin ankle", lol. I just hope when she hops back in the saddle and she doesn't get any jitters. If we have to sell her bike, I hope some of you gents in North Jersey would be up for some rides. Thanks for the kind words and advice.
And yes QWeeks, the gods were definatly with us. I'm glad I didn't break my legs when I put it down to stop myself from going over. 15 mph doesn't seem fast till you almost bite it.
Close calls can bust anyones confidence. Get her back in the saddle and remind her that she is in control. Account for the stupidity of others. Let experience and common sense be her guide. Don't let her sell her bike, she will regret it on those weekends home alone.
The NJTP should be renamed the Autobahn of America. I could not believe how fast everyone was going my first time running from DC to north Jersey. Hate me if you want, but I was doing well over 100 mph trying to keep up with traffic and a cop PASSED ME. I sht my pants.
Respect to you guys who ride in NJ, thats got to be some wild times!
