Default Softail engine?

Tell me just how smooth the Softail engine is both at idle and running. Thanks.

At idle it is as smooth as a used car salesman trying to dump a flood damaged car on a old retired school teacher[:'(] and going down the highway it is as smooth as a personal injury lawyer before a jury trying to make his yacht down payment.
Okay, at idle it is fairly smooth, but at highway speeds it is not quite as smooth as a rubber mounted dyna engine, but it isn’t bothersome. I wonder if anyone makes any rubber mounting kits for the Softail to be similar to the dyna mount???

I rode an older Sportster for several years before going to a Softail, so I don't notice any vibration at all.

It isn't rubber mounted. Avoid that dealer and for goodness sakes, don't let them work on your hog!
