I really like the quality and sound of the pipe. It seems to have a seat-of-the-pants power increase, but I have no proof in numbers. I just received my SERT in the mail so I'll install my new high-flow air filter kit and get it on the dyno soon. We'll see what kind of numbers come up at that point.
I never really noticed the upward slant of the tailpipe - doesn't bother me tho.

 

If I do this right here is a pic of my N.T. with V&H Big Radius pipes which I had sand blasted and coated black. The coating causes the pipes to cool rapidly, but I did it just for looks. Ernie-Seattle

Love that look Carl, when you say coated, do you mean powder coated

 

I don't know if its powder or ceramic. Its a very thin coat of Cobra black, which is really a very dark gray, and then a thin coat of clear over the black, which makes it a bit shinney. How do you spell shinney? The pipes were done and the heat shields. Heat disapates really fast. I kind of think its ceramic. Cost $150 and was done in a couple days. Performance Coatings in Auburn Washington. Still rainy in Seattle, Ernie.

 

Exhaust header pipes must be ceramic coated. High temp powder is ok for heat shields and slip on mufflers only. If you don't believe me, go ahead and waste your money, on a header it will bubble and peel over time. The ceramic will make it run cooler as an added bonus.

 

Personally, I like the Paul Yaffe Black X-Pipes. They're black ceramic coated with chrome heat sheilds and tips. Here's a picture:
