Well I went to Tifton Harley today to look at the Cross Bones. Ended up riding home on an '09 Vivid black. I got it for MSRP, and they gave me 15,500 for my '08 Fatboy. I think I got a pretty good deal but lemme tell ya, this bike rides awesome. I was skeptical at first due to the handlebars and seat, but the bike fits me like a glove. It handles very well and was very comfortable riding home on the interstate. I was aftraid I might regret it when I got home but not yet. The smile just keeps getting bigger!
Only problem thus far is the stock exhaust and lack of room for the wife. I gotta get to ordering some parts. I'm pretty much decided on the black V&H Shortshots.
You will not regret it. I love my 09 Crossbones. it is a very well mannered bike. Now get that stock exhaust off so it does not sound like a pissed off lawn mower running down the street.
Is there a high flow k&n air filter that will fit the bones, or one from hd. The only one I've found so far is the cone one from HD, and I was looking for something that would fit my stock air cleaner housing.
I've been searching through threads and can't find a number or anything, can anyone help me out, thanks ahead of time.
